Pole Reinforcement
This operation consists of driving a steel splint next to a condemned or rejected pole with a driving unit of our own manufacture, and then banding this splint to the pole. This provides the Power Company with an economical, safe alternative to pole replacement.
With an aggressive Sonic and Bore Pole Inspection Method and reinforcing program utilities can save large amounts of money each year over change out costs.
Installing the PoleEnforcer reinforcing system, along with remedial treatment, can restore old decayed poles back to “new pole” strengths for a fraction of the cost of a change out.
By reinforcing the pole you may extend its life another 20-30 years. Splints can be installed with no interruption of power.
Most installs with our crew may take less than 1 hour from start to finish. AES's driving unit can install reinforcing units in all soil conditions.
